8 hours of educational content focussed on Contrast echocardiography

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Contrast Echo Summit.

Contrast echocardiography is a specialised advanced imaging techinque with widespread application in clinical practice. This program has been designed to provide attendees with a broad overview of contrast imaging, followed by deep dive presentations exploring detailed aspects of the technique in a variety of different clinical scenarios, including in the critical care setting.

Care has been taken to incorporate ASE/EACVI guidelines into talks to demonstrate how and why they should be applied in your daily practice.

This is an incredibly unique program presented by an international faculty of experts with a strong emphasis on the practical application of contrast echocardiography in clinical practice. The event is aimed at anyone involved in cardiac ultrasound.

The majority of the sessions are pre-recorded and then streamed on the 4th February 2023 (AEDT). There are several sessions focussed on the practical how-to aspects of contrast echocardiography, making it an ideal event for all sonographers and physicians involved in contrast imaging. Attendees will have access to a chat room to facilitate discussion between the delegates, and in some instances with the live speakers.

The "must-attend" event for anyone involved in contrast echocardiography

Up to 8 hours CME

This program is approved for 3 BSE reaccreditation points.

This Contrast Echocardiography event has been approved as an ASUM Approved CPD event for 8 hours CPD. This meets the CPD requirements for ASAR.

ARDMS / CCI members will also be able to claim CPD for attending the program.

This program has also been approved for 8 ACEM CPD hours.

Not just the Summit...

Conference events are great. We learn, get excited, but then often go back to our clinical practice where the enthusiasm slowly dwindles....

Keep the momentum going, continue the discussion in the Echo Guru Facebook group.

This is all about building community and sharing knowledge in contrast echocardiography.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:

  1. Identify appropriate indications for the application of ultrasound enhancing agents in patients undergoing echocardiography
  2. Explain the primary uses of contrast echocardiography in the areas of critical care and emergency medicine.
  3. Incorporate new guideline recommendations into clinical practice.
  4. Recognize the recent advancements and future direction of ultrasound enhancing agents and the impact these advancements may have on patient care.
  5. Optimise image settings and machine imaging presets to acquire appropriate images for the clinical indication.
  6. Improve quality and workflow in the echocardiography lab and in the critical care setting by utilising contrast echocardiography where appropriate.
  7. Interpret and discuss echocardiographic findings specific to contrast imaging, including but not limited to, structural and functional assessment of the left ventricle, assessment of intracardiac shunts, assessment of cardiac masses, myocardial perfusion imaging and enhancement of Doppler signals.

Feedback From Previous Echo Guru Educational Summit Events

Susan S - North Carolina, USA

This summit has TRULY been a blessing. Thank you so much for such a gigantic undertaking. I don't take it for granted- so much of the content has changed my outlook.  After 28 years of working in the field this summit has given me a MUCH needed reinvigoration. The Echo Supervisor’s Summit was a much appreciated and powerful event that helped revitalize my energy in the field. Like students/trainees, leaders need guidance also; but we often forget we’re human too. This summit offered a community of support to keep us interested in growing, learning, sharing, so that the educational process of others continues - which ensures that the life of our field continues to pulse in the future.

Gill E - TAS, Aust.

Really an exceptional summit. Great for cpd points opportunity for staff. Getting them to conferences is quite expensive. and content is very relevant. I really appreciate you doing this again next year.

Lisa - VIC, Aust.

I would to congratulate you for delivering such an amazing Echo Supervisors Summit. This is the first one I have attended and certainly will not miss one from now on. Your enthusiasm, passion and professionalism to help us to continue to keep learning and be up to date with the latest, to be the best Sonographers we can is to be admired and you are a credit to your profession. The scope of the lecturers and topic discuss was outstanding.

As living in a small country town to have the opportunity to not have to travel I would of paid twice the amount to obtain my CPD points online.

Laura B - QLD, Aust.

Congratulations on a successful summit! It was the perfect format for me as I am currently on maternity leave with my now 5 month old son. To be able to stream the content from the comfort of my own home was brilliant ... And the continued access for the next month is great for those presentations that I particularly enjoyed.

Lynn B - SA, Aust.

I would highly  recommend the  Echo Supervisors Summit to anyone interested in an amazing opportunity to access diverse interactive topics both locally and international in your office and at home.

Jenny M - QLD, Aust.

It was terrific, great speakers and content, nice relaxed format.

Samantha E - QLD, Aust.

I really enjoyed the summit. It was useful being able to access lectures at a time convenient to me. I was impressed by the quality of speakers and the presentations were relevant and inspiring. Thankyou for a great event!

Jayne S - VIC, Aust.

Thank you for another amazing summit. It is far and away the most valuable symposium around for tackling the difficulties faced by echo supervisors. I’m so appreciative of the work you have done and hope to see this forum continue for many years to come.

Di B - WA, Aust.

Thank you for organising such a worthwhile course.  It was great having speakers from a variety of backgrounds all covering interesting topics. I took many things away from the summit and some I hope to implement into our work practice. I look forward to next years content!
